You are to use the package installers for your distro
which will take care of dependencies.

If you are not aware of package installers, why blame
the system?

This is called ... "running away from the problem".

Use yum or any other package installer provided by
your distro.

When you do a GNU/Linux install, you should install al
the development tools and kernel sources. If a person
doesn't install it, why blame the software?

GNU/Linux gives the freedom to compile packages from
sources or install from .rpms or using installers from
distros.

Enjoy the freedom.
