+++ Gurudatta Raut [PLUG] [11-08-05 16:45 +0100]: | Thanks to all thoes who answered to thisone. BUT, | | Long time back it wasconsidered impossible to get more | than 56kbps speed , How is it possible to get 1Mbps | now by BSNL ? And what about telephone bills ?
*Long time back*. Thats the important thing. *Long time back* no one thought that desktop machines will have speed in GHz. BSNL uses ADSL(Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) technology. You will get lot of information on web regarding this. | Anyways I am happy with Sify due to its prepaid | nature, No bills to worry about Worst thing about sify broadband: Unlimited package: You can not have data transfer more than 150 MB in a day. If you download more than 150 MB, for every 150 MB one day is reduced. If your data trasnfer is 160 MB on day 1 and 2, 2 days are lost. Though you have used 20 MB. Remaining 180 MB are lost. When I asked one of the sales persons how is it unlimited, he said 'We are not disconnecting the connection even after you complete 150 MB. Thats unlimited.' :-S Regards, Shantanoo -- ______________________________________________________________________ Pune GNU/Linux Users Group Mailing List: ([email protected]) List Information: http://plug.org.in/mailing-list/listinfo/plug-mail Send 'help' to [EMAIL PROTECTED] for mailing instructions.
