I'd suggest you use Linux to the fullest. FAT32 file system doesn't have any concept of file permissions. Anyone who can access the partition can access the files. Even worse, anyone who has write permission to a mounted FAT32 partition has write permission to all data on the partition (PLUGgies, please correct me if I'm wrong here).
