Hi,

I am trying to monitor bandwidth usage of our WAN link. The idea is to profile
the usage of our internet link and then shape/prioritize the internet traffic
based on protocols and hosts. But I am not able to conclude which is the right
tool for measuring internet link usage. I have found a list of tools like ntop,
mrtg, ipaudit etc. But on going through the pdf doc for ntop, I find that it's
more suitable for monitoring network usage within a LAN. On the other hand
mrtg seems to be too complex. Want to know whether ntop can be used for
measuring/monitoring/profiling the bandwidth usage on an internet link or mrtg
is the only suitable tool. Would be thankful if I get sone pointers suggestions.

Thanks

Yogesh
