I see that there are 2 branches of linux as of today.
Lots of splitting and then few are just left
dangling/unused (2 just stoppped in 2004). 
Also there's this MKLinux DR2 etc. What's that?

Till now I was under the impression that there's just
1 tree/branch of the linux kernel.

Anyone can throw any light on this?
