Its a standard debian program, nothing specific to K(ubuntu).

Although, you would have to download the dependency packages. Its
better to use the debian package repository and apt to install
packages since it keeps your system in sync and its much easier to do
updates or upgrades. And usually, there are more debian packages
aroung than rpms.
