-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi All,
I am developing a plugin for Gaim which will transliterate English text to Marathi/Hindi. This plugin is using UTF-8 codes. The prerequisite to use this plugin is that the OS should have support for Indic languages fonts (specifically Devanagari script). I already know how to install these fonts on Windows 2k/XP and Ubuntu. I don't have information other linux distros. I would like to include instructions in README about installation of Devnagari fonts possibly from respective repositories of the distro. So please reply with package names / instructions for this task for distros like FC, Mandriva, SuSE, Gentoo and other popular distros (or the ones you like). NOTE: My plugin is a modified version of plugin provided by Varun S. http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1417844&group_id=235&atid=390395 The transliteration scheme is not complete yet. So it is not yet released. Once it is complete I will make a version available for Gaim 1.5.0 and possibly 2.0 beta2.
