The language you choose depends entirely on the problem you are trying to
solve. For Web based applications, LAMP is a popular choice.

PHP, Python etc. Also please suggest training institutes for PHP and MySQL.
IMHO, the best way to learn is to start reading the official docs/tutorials and
hacking stuff up on your own. I think one of the reasons that there aren't too
many institutes that teach the popular Linux tools is because both the quality
and quantity of documentation available online is so good that almost everybody
can learn through self study.
