Hi, Most probably you will not be able to buila a complete distro using LFS. You will give up at an earlier stage due to lack of bandwidth / time / enthusiasm.
However, it is a learning expierience. LFS can teach you things at an astonishing rate. All in all, I would highly recommend LFS. As a distribution, it has no advantage to offer over a distribution like gentoo in terms of performance. It does not make sense as a choice of distribution. At all.
