Hi, Since PLUG is involved with GNUnify to a large extent, I would like to point out a factual error on the GNUnify website to the concerned people (hoping they are on this list).
http://gnunify.in/foss.php At the link given above, the interpretation of Free Software is incorrect - "Free software is software that can be freely used, modified, and redistributed with only one restriction: any redistributed version of the software must be distributed with the original terms of free use, modification, and distribution (known as copyleft)." The Free Software definition does not say that redistribution must be under the same clauses of redistribution. That is what copyleft says, and copyleft is just one type of free software license. Contradictory example are BSD, MIT licenses. -aditya -- ______________________________________________________________________ Pune GNU/Linux Users Group Mailing List: ([email protected]) List Information: http://plug.org.in/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/plug-mail Send 'help' to [EMAIL PROTECTED] for mailing instructions.
