Hi,

As an FYI for the Ubuntu, Fedora, Suse testers .. if you have an Intel
PRO 1000 ethernet controller and use the e1000e driver, the kernel in
use by these distributions in their new alpha/beta releases seems to
break the EEPROM of the ethernet controller.

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/263555
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=459202

The issue seems to be with the free driver provided by Intel.
