Hello,
Acer has recently released a very compact desktop (EL 1600) with a decent
configuration (Intel Atom CPU, 1 GB RAM, 160 GB HDD, dvd drive, etc.) at a very
tempting price. i couldn't resist getting one for myself.
However, when i tried my stock Ubuntu 8 and Fedora 9 CDs for installation, they
failed. i couldn't even run Ubuntu from the CD.
i will post more error information in a later post, but thought of sending this
out early, so if anyone has ideas, please help.
