Most of the currently available cards have Philips chipset. Somehow, the cards are not detected saying that some eprom is not there on the card and then gives a big list of chipset devices to try modprobe. Old cards were mostly having BTTV chipset (brooktree or something) Those were supported properly on linux. What is your Philips chipset no? regards, -Sudhanwa > _______________________________________ > Pune GNU/Linux Users Group Mailing List > -- ~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~! www.sudhanwa.com _______________________________________ Pune GNU/Linux Users Group Mailing List
