Well, this was installed afresh on Fedora 16 upgrade using yum repository I think named "google" or "google-chrome". (can't confirm its name as I am writing this from a different m/c.) I If the repo is not up-to-date, that's unfortunate. I'll try to find alternative repo. Second system I use is NetBSD, where new releases of firefox hit regularly. Chrome is not yet there.
