after searching the net i did find out that either by installing grub-pc package or by inputting several (few from some people's perspective) there is a way to get this fixed... but then it does not remain a clean install...
that may or may not happen in the couse of time but I could not help noticing an alternate expansion of the name "grub" as "GRand (meaning thousand) United Breweries" of-course that does not take me anywhere in terms of getting system to boot, till it boots correctly, however others can and may **ribu:t** there goes the classical rebuttal of the claim to the name of fame called grand unified BL up until, :-) -- GNU err is human, forgive de-WiNE _______________________________________ Pune GNU/Linux Users Group Mailing List
