Unfortunately description of wi-fi chip is not given, making difficult to guess wi-fi chip vendor. By any chance you know the vendor of wi-fi chip? Being AMD processor, it's difficult to guess which wi-fi chip they [HP the vendor] used to ship with the mainboard/motherboard back in those days. But for sure it wont be intel wi-fi chip onboard. Open bottom panel of tablet to locate wi-fi chip. That will explain vendor & model details. Else, Restore the propriety OS shipped with the tablet to find onboard wi-fi chip vendor details. Some last resorts otherwise = i) Boot from old live Ubuntu Linux via USB with hope that it'll detect the wi-fi chip. ii) Buy USB wi-fi dongle which works with Ubuntu 16.04 > > On Mon, Jul 18, 2016 at 3:17 PM, Amey Abhyankar <[email protected]> wrote: >> >> On 18 July 2016 at 14:44, Vaibhav Khante <[email protected]> wrote: >> > Hi Nachiket, >> > >> > Are you still using HP tx2009au? >> >> I googled for specification = >> http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-c01445216 >> Is this the configuration of your tablet? >> >> > >> > I recently got this laptop from my brother as he is not using it since >> > few >> > years. >> > >> > I've installed Ubuntu 16.04, but facing few issues such as >> > WiFi/Bluetooth >> > drivers etc. >> > >> > Google search is not helping much :( >> > >> > Also laptop battery is dead and it works only when plugged to power >> > source. >> > HP service station confirmed that battery will not be available. >> > >> > Any suggestions from you will be a great help. >> > >> > Thanks. >> > >> > Rgs, >> > Vaibhav Khante >> > +91 9225561538 >> > >> > >> > >> > >> > >> > On Thu, Jul 23, 2009 at 5:19 PM, Nachiket Kulkarni <[email protected]> >> > wrote: >> >> >> >> Hi, >> >> I have recently made the switch from Vista to Ubuntu 9.04.
