Use of this product destroyed the newly bought battery! It swelled and had to be thrown away. May be either the battery or the adapter were bad. Refusing to work without a battery and not charging it without booting were blunders by N900 team. I'm pausing this effort for now. No more feel like buying yet another battery at least for now. I have a spare RPI2. I can probably achieve what I was going to try with N900 with RPI.
