For me the booting/nonbooting is a nonissue.. because my hard drive is too
large for LILO to handle (3400+ cylinders at 255 "heads" and 63
"sectors"). So I can't use LILO to boot Windoze. However Windoze has no
problems booting from a 1024+ cylinder partition, so I default to Windoze
boot (BootGUI=0 to drop to an MSDOG prompt) and use LOADLIN to bring Linux
up..

You can use that option instead of a clunky boot disk..
