Good news!
The BSA has done it again!
With a May 10 BSA visit looming in the horizon,
SM Shoemart's EDP department has just officially replaced it's
pkzip archivers with Info-ZIP's freeware zip/unzip utilities.
All other branches, from here to cebu and ilo-ilo have until
April to purge all errant copies of the old shareware archiver.
In my sub department, our SCO units had Info-ZIP's zip/unzip
from the start.
In relation to this, all MS-DOG units will be retired as soon
as we can find a valid replacement, which will probably be
DR-DOS, though we're evaluating both OpenLinux and Redhat for
their DOS emulation and ease of install.
