hi,

you need a popper that supports maildir.
i use the popper which comes with qmail,
as recommended by jijo... (who has been unusually silent lately :)
haven't had any problems with it!

btw, if you want to use maildir instead of /var/spool/mail,
you need to configure postfix to do so.

also, you need to patch pine to support maildir.
or you can use an email client which natively supports maildirs
like mutt.
