[plug] modem and ports....

guys,

why is it that my dialup server modem dont respond to workstation that dials
in???
it just keeps on ringing and ringing.....does this means that the port cant
communicate to the
modem ? , do i need to re-configure the port and the modem??... where should
i start??..
