(Sorry for the reposts)
Pluggers,
Since we're on to SIGs, I would like to take this opportunity to call
for the formation of an "Intro to Linux SIG (PLUG)" that will try to do the
following things:
- serve as a resource for introducing Linux to groups, institutions or
schools who have zero or little knowledge of Linux
- serve as a living, breathing forum for newbies or those who consider
themselves new to Linux in order to personally learn more about Linux
Membership with this SIG would be on a purely voluntary basis, knowing that
all of us have commitments to other things. Also, how active this SIG would
be depends on how enthusiastic and committed the members would be willing to
share their Linux experience with others and how they're willing to learn more
from others. We need both experienced and inexperienced Linux enthusiasts to
share their Linux experiences. Activities for this SIG need not be formal all
the time.
