ip masq is already compiled in the kernel. Just replace the word FALSE in
/etc/sysconfig/network with TRUE.
You will also have to setup ipchains rules.
A very simple ipchains rule.
ipchains -P forward DENY
ipchains -A forward -i ppp0 -j MASQ
echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward # this is similar to replacing FALSE
w/ TRUE (above)

I'd recommended you replace your current kernel with 2.2.14. There's a
buffer
overflow which kills all your ipchains rules. This have been fixed since
2.2.12 & l8r.
