Yeah, I know about that.  Used that for some time
before SLIP became popular (the protocol before PPP).
I'd say it's mostly obsolete now.

But check it out anyway with the internet via e-mail
thing.  Search it out.

Haven't seen it in Linux.

It's obsolete by the way, unless you have some
specific use for it like limited bandwidth in
Antarctica which is sporadic only or maybe in the
future if you are on Mars maybe... no kidding!
