Yes, assume them as separate.

When someone authenticate through the NT, they enters the network. Then when
they need to pickup their email from your Linux box, another authentication
for the POP3 server.

You can do that but still... it's easier to implement separate
authentication for the network and the POP3 server.

To make things easier, i-save nalang niya yun password niya sa Eudora para
just click check mail then ok na agad.
