nothing as far as limits are concerned. your upper limit for number of
users with x86 linux is 64K. if you have a user with uid 65536, he
effectively has uid 0. so be careful when you hit that limit.
of course, your /etc/passwd and /etc/shadow files will be hefty, so it'll
take a performance hit when updating either using chfn, chsh, passwd et
cie. writing a file still takes longer than reading it. :)
