Yes it will. if you set "defer_transport = smtp" in /etc/postfix/main.cf;
you have to do the /usr/sbin/sendmail -q for postfix to flush the
qued/defered messages. But if you have a live connection, postfix has its
own way of timming the deliveries of defered messages.
