There IS an NSS module for LDAP. It's called... nss_ldap. Check out
www.rage.net/ldap for details.
This could be a boon for some of you.. but not for me. We're struggling to
unify our user directories in Oracle.. and guess what, OpenLDAP uses GDBM
files for storing the tuples.
