i also got FreeBSD 4.0 running. Haven't yet recompiled or reconfigured
anything. I have configured X, but can't get it to run at 1024x768 res.,
only lower. my card is a cheap AGP Trident 975 3DImage something. I guess X
needs a better video card, ;-) hehehe,
what card do you suggest for an X server running at its best on a FreeBSD
4.0 installation?

| I've finally gotten around to installing FreeBSD 4.0. It's pretty cool,
| and comes with a sh*tload of GNOME packages including gnapster!! trouble
| is, it doesn't support the Savage3D video card. Apparently XFree86 3.3.6
| only supports the Savage3D on Linux, not on any other UNIXes. Drat!
