Hi Federico,

(Ikaw ba si Jijo?)

First off, the stack implementation of Xvnc DOES NOT supoort multiple
unique vncviewer sessions in one instance. You will have to have an Xvnc
instance PER user that needs a separate workspace. From my daily use of
Xvnc I've noticed that it uses 5-8MB + X applications for each workspace.
Say a typical Sevilla-Corporation employee uses StarOffice, Netscape, and
a few applets.. That's already 50+MB requirement with conservative
estimatation. Considering 30 computers, that's 1.5-2GB right there. You
can argue that you can allocate a considerable amount of swap space. But
if you do so, your server will probably be doing page-in and page-out all
the time.

Are you planning on having a central windows box with multiple Xvnc
sessions? I believe you cannot do this with the currently avalable stack
Windows Xvnc. Why? Because there can only be one logged in user at a
time -- windows kernel is very much coupled with its GUI. Plus, I get
horrible refresh with the Linux client unlike the Windows vncviewer which
feels like an actual desktop (on a LAN).

If you ever find out a solution, please let use know.

stay cool.
