what do u mean backing up the hedwig config? the closest i can think of for
this is saving your /etc files. but then again, /etc is not a good blanket
cover for all configuration files. some programs actually put it somewhere
else, depending on how it was installed. i have to admit i was a bit
reckless when i just plugged in the rh6.1 cd and did an upgrade install, but
it worked. basically, it just did an rpm -U (upgrade package) on all rpms
installed in your computer. problem lang if your newly installed rpms newly
installs their own config file. hmmm, pero come to think of it, it shouldn't
behave that way bec it's bad manners to do an rpm -U and wipe out the
previous configurations. my bet is that you're safe with an upgrade install.
pero as always, backup just to be sure.
