or try smbmount

smbmount //pcname/shared_directory /mnt_directory

this syntax worked in redhat 6.2 samba package. note that, based from my
experience, different syntax is used in different versions of redhat package
(dont know why). when i upgraded to 6.2, i have to change my mount script
(but i like the new syntax, easier to remember :-) ).
