hi christine,

    here is really what happened, when you are trying to get connected at
any virtual interface, it will call a *arp* protocol first to resolve its
mac address, since all virtual ip address belongs to the same interface they
have the same mac address. since your *default gateway* bind to *eth0*, its
the eth0 who will reply who wants to query it.
