Well, in truth, we do already have a Linux box with samba installed and it
is working very well.
I used to like the nitty gritty stuff but with all my other responsibilites
in my work I just lost the interest and just want things done quickly and
efficiently.
I still cannot really get rid of NT coz my database is NT server based
(Pervasive.SQL 2000). It does have a Linux version which I believe peforms
very well but that would mean goodbye to the NT verison and hello to more
expenses. The linux version costs as much as the NT version. I wish
Pervasive will be more helpful to linux by lowering the cost.
I am sure we can do everything NetMAX can do but I guess it's the ease of
installation and use I need.
