Is the version of the e-commerce law (sb 1902) available from your
site (www.chanrobles.com) substantially the same as the version
recently approved by the lower house?
Who does one ask regarding implementation details of this law?
For example, for purposes of digital signatures, will both x509-style
digital certificates from Certificate Authorities, and PGP-style
certificates from self-signing groups be admissible for purposes
of digital signatures? Will a self-signed certificate be allowed?
Will existing certificate authorities like Thawte and Verisign
be recognized as certificate authorities under this law? If a local
corporation wants to establish itself as a certificate authority what
law will regulate is establishment and its activities? What
qualitifations must one (individual or corporation) have to qualify
to be a certificate authority?
I have other related questions, but I need to ask them to the right forum
or parties. Thanks.
