arghh! fetchmail was working perfectly last night but just this
morning, it's causing the kernel to generate these messages:
Jun 23 09:58:36 localhost kernel: hda: read_intr: status=0x59 { DriveReady
SeekComplete DataRequest Error }
Jun 23 09:58:36 localhost kernel: hda: read_intr: error=0x40 { UncorrectableError },
CHS=8918/1/208, sector=7279
Jun 23 09:58:36 localhost kernel: end_request: I/O error, dev 03:08 (hda), sector 7279
where did that 8918/1/208 (chs) come from? i only have 2205
cylinders (18g) !
i haven't tried running other processes to try to provoke the
hard disk more though. i just want my mail! *:(
can anyone enlighten me please? thanks!
