My box at home has a Diamond FirePort 20 SCSI Adapter (uses the sym53c8XXX
driver) with an Iomega Jaz 1GB drive (external) and a Ricoh MP6200S CD-RW
(internal) SCSI Drive.

At boot up, the SCSI Bios correctly identifies both the Jaz and the Ricoh.
Under the "other" OS, I can access both the Jaz and the Ricoh and have no
problems whatsoever with either (except my Jaz disks are already
exhibiting wear and tear).

However, under Linux (I am currently using kernel 2.2.15) the SCSI driver
only identifies 1 host being attached to the SCSI card. I've checked my
SCSI termination several times over, resorting to even attaching just the
CD-RW, and still it is not seen by the driver.

Any leads on how to get this Ricoh MP6200S CD-RW to be seen under Linux
would be most welcome.

And no... the answer is NOT "install xcdroast, cdrecord, etc." ;)

Thanks in advance.
