Anong magandang configuration ng kernel kapag meron kang mixed ide & scsi cd
drives?
I've got an IDE CDROM(CREATIVE) and a SCSI CDWRITER(YAMAHA) I just got this
from CD-writing howto. Should I compile it as a module or to built to
kernel? I've also read that it's not
a good idea to compile drivers as module if you've got mixed
devices/controllers.

Two days ago kasi, my xcdroast .98 was working fine. After recompiling my
kernel,
ayaw nang mag cd write. I noticed something on my bootup on the SCSI part.
Before, I see
a message which says , SCSI.... executed SCRIPT, successful. Pero ngayon,
wala na.
I also saw a tip regarding NCR chips, but I haven't tried it.
And, I need a suggestion kung anong magandang IDE-CDROM. I'm receiving this
error kasi
when I do a cdrecord -scanbus
WARNING: controller returns wrong size for CD capabilities page.
>From Schilling's quote: It tells you that your drive has a firmware bug.
This happened when I added append="hdd=ide-scsi" in my lilo.conf.
Kailangan kasi ito para makita ng xcdroast ang device.
