My sentiments exactly. I've already removed Linuxconf, as it is, and only
use RedHat's control-panel when I really don't know how else to do things
(like, hehehe, setting up my initial ifcfg-ppp0 and chat-ppp0 as it's been
quite some time since I used the ifup script for setting up ppp
connections). And yes, both mangle with a lot of your system settings and
while they may make life easier for people who rely on them for
"configuration knowledge", they make life MUCH MORE DIFFICULT for admins
like me who are somewhat "primitive" and prefer knowing the configuration
text files by heart. They remind me too much of my woes with Windows.

I thought webmin was "just another one of them" config utilities. I didn't
know it was different in the sense of being non-intrusive. Thanks for that
tip, I'll check it out one of these days.
