Well, just to be fair to QNX/Photon, it wasn't really designed to be a
desktop-style OS, hence the total absence of prepackaged apps for it. It
pretty much sucks as a server platform too, though most open source server
apps are readily available as precompiled binaries.

Not everyone needs an RTOS on their desktop.
