Software Announcement:
Availability of AdmuLinuxGo-1.0a

AdmulinuxGo is a Linux operating system designed to boot and run
from ramdisk and CDrom. It is a full-featured Linux development
system made instantly available without disk partitioning and
without installing on the hard disk.

Recommended usage: 1. For people running Win9x on their
desktops who want to try a modern robust operating system without
the hassle of installation. 2. For students of programming
who are required to use the strict C/Java environment of Linux,
since Win9X is not strict enough and does not catch memory-related
programming errors. 3. For PCs with good CDrom but with limited
hard disk space.

System requirements: PC with 386/486/Pentium or compatible processor,
fast IDE/ATAPI-CDrom, 32MB ram minimum, SVGA/S3/VGA16 video card and
multisync monitor, 2/3-button serial or PS2 mouse.

Availability:
1. Free public download by anonymous ftp from Ateneo de Manila University:
ftp://curry.ateneo.net/iso-images/admulinux-1.0/admulinux-1.0a.iso
2. Purchase CD at cost from Progressive Ideas, MetroLane Complex,
Tuazon, Cubao, Q.C.

Changes to version 1.0a:
1. This version now mounts the first Windows partition on /mnt,
so that the user can save his data in /mnt/My\ Documents/, if he
wants. It also creates a Linux swap file in /mnt/admlinux/ and
activates it.
2. Slightly improved manual X configuration script, xsetup. Xsetup now
allows the user to enter horizontal and vertical monitor frequencies.
