The documentation for postfix + mysql alias/table lookups is included with the
source tar ball (the RPMS at mandrake and redhat _do_not_ install the mysql
lookup option by default)  I can give you a spec file for postfix that includes
mysql support if you want.

Mysql lookups and postfix go well together.  Its pretty scalable especially if
you have tons of aliases and rewrite rules to store.

Note however that mysql support for postfix does not include actual email
delivery to a database server for storage.
