If you have a rescue disk or can use the install CD as a rescue disk boot
using this rescue disk and mount your hard disk. Edit the /etc/shadow file
and look for something like this:

yourliginname:$some-junk-here:11130:0:99999:7:::
              ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
edit it so it looks like this:

yourliginname::11130:0:99999:7:::

reboot your system and you should be able to login without a password.

BTW this works for root too, JIC you forget root's password.
