guys,

I have a linux box with samba installed. I can now mount a smb directory
on it and use it as a regular on. My problem now is printing to a windows
box which has an hplaserjet attached to it. I've tried reading the
docu ments on the "Using Samba". It tried follwing the instructions but I
get no output to the remote printer such as

# lpr -Plaserjet myfile.doc

the job is queued to the spool using lpq. I came upon something about
about magic filters ??? Does this process need a printer driver to
translate my files before sending it to the spool (just like Winblows).
maybe its' something I missed. Anyone out theer who has done this before.
I tried using smbclient and printing thru it but it printed ascii
characters.

TIA,

Christian
