Hello.

I have Sendmail8.10.2 and am trying to configure a vacation auto-reply. I
did vacation -i, created .vacation.msg, and .vacation.db, and have this in
my .forward:

\username, "|/usr/bin/vacation -a vacationalias"

However, when I try sending mail to username, this bounced:

----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors -----
"|/usr/bin/vacation -a vacationalias"
(reason: 550 Unsafe for mailing to programs)
    (expanded from: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>)

----- Transcript of session follows -----
550 5.7.1 /home/vacation/.forward: line 1: "|/usr/bin/vacation -a
vacationalias"... Address
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> is unsafe for mailing to programs

The username receives the mail, of course. However, the sender gets the
message above.

What am I doing wrong? (aside from still using sendmail as my smtp
*grins*)

THanks much in advance.
