hi there pluggers!
is there a way in linux particularly in using PPP, to directly invoke the ppp even the
dial tone is not that "real dialtone" thing? Just like in Winblowz that you could
uncheck the "wait for dial tone before dialing" calling preference, so that it dials
right then and there. Any revisions in the chat scripts? In a Win98 PC everything
seems to be fine, but when i tried using my linux box, and viewing the log files, the
"NO DIALTONE" error message was the main conflict. Since it searches first for the
dial tone, as in the real, standard dial tone.
any ideas, suggestions?
