you did not quite get my question but anyway the link was very useful.
the problem is that rawhide rpms are RPM4 while redhat and all the other
major distribution come with variations of RPM3. therefore, you cannot
install RPMs from rawhide unless you have RPM4 or RPM3.0.5(which is
forward compatible with 4)
