Yeah I saw that promo in the papers. This unit isn't under a promo but under the academic pricing plan. Status update: 1. ACPI can't detect the battery charge, and I have little idea of how to fix it. 2. While the 'Madwifi' project has a native driver for Atheros, my card is not supported by the binary HAL. The CD drivers say it's a Atheros 5001, but ndiswrapper matches the PCI ID with the DWL-G510.
