Hello List,
Concerning Laptops, I was able to setup Debian Sid on my Asus S5200NE
notebook. Everything basically works except for the RICOH card reader
(which doesn't work at all) and ACPI (which just partially works). Even
though the internal 802.11b/g works, using a Linksys WPC11 pcmcia card
seems more stable for wireless networks.
I haven't checked nor have found too much time to tweak the setup so as
to improve the notebooks dismal battery life when running linux. A shame
really.:( Now that I think of it, I still haven't found a way either to
load live cds onto the notebook as the thing uses an external USB combo
drive.
