SCSI's config tool? Is this the one
right after the BIOS and before bootup?
Did you already check /proc/scsi/scsi file?
There should be an entry of your tape drive on
that file. And also check /proc/devices.

Has anyone ever used a DDS4 tape drive connected via an ordinary SCSI
Ultra320? Tape drives are represented in /dev by stX or nstX ... are

other representation of a tape drive?
i tried to stat all stX and nstX in /dev using mt but the result is : No
such
device.
Does anyone here knows how to troubleshoot tape drives? I was able to see
the hardware using the SCSI's config tool (w/c can be seen on boot up)..
